30 Writing Prompts for April: National Poetry Writing Month

National Poetry Writing Month

It’s that time of year again!

April is National Poetry Writing Month (#NAPOWRIMO); a time to celebrate the art of poetry and challenge ourselves to write more. Whether you're a seasoned poet or just starting out, this month is a great opportunity to flex your creative brain muscles and explore new ways of expressing yourself through words.

To help inspire you throughout the month, I’ve jumped on the prompt bandwagon and compiled a list of thirty daily poetry prompts. Use them to kickstart your writing, or simply as a way to challenge yourself to write something new every day.

I’ll be posting these as a single post over on my Instagram account too, which you can save for reference throughout the month. Follow along @petaroxywrites and be sure to tag me if you write something using some or all of these prompts!
